PUBLIC HEARING ON DRAFTS OF ARHA’S 2019 ANNUAL AGENCY PLAN

Public hearings will be held on Monday, August 27st, and Wednesday, August 29th, for the purpose of obtaining public comments on the draft of the FY 2019 Annual Agency Plan.

The public hearings will be held at; 300 Wythe Street on August 27st, and 401 Wythe Street on August 29th. All meetings will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30. p.m. Written comments may also be submitted to ARHA at 401 Wythe Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 or emailed to elacy@arha.us through Thursday, September 6th.

Fairfax County Housing Opens Waitlist

The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority will be opening the RAD (Rental Assistance Demonstration Project) Waitlist (formerly Public Housing) on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, 8:00 a.m. EST and it will close on Monday, July 23, 2018, 11:59 p.m. EST.

ARHA Summer Youth Initiatives Awards Ceremony 2017

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended today’s award ceremony on behalf of our Summer Youth Initiative’s “Beautification Team.”  I am so thankful to experience the support from my coworkers. 

Response to Community Concerns

Over the past few months, as the redevelopment of the Andrew Adkins project has progressed, questions have been raised by community groups and residents regarding ARHA’s approach to financing the project and the potential displacement of ARHA residents from Alexandria.  In remarks printed in the July 20 issue of the Alexandria Gazette Packet, CEO Roy Priest made the following clarifying comments which are posted here on the website for all to see.
